About the ‘Stead

Highway Homestead is about our little 1920s urban homestead on the state highway.

It's about giving up the "bigger and better" lifestyle for whole-hearted living. It's about creating a life of bicycling, and buying local, and gardening, and reading circles, and making secret closet libraries, and changing the world a little.
